Product Overview: Vertical Steel Storage Tanks & Silos

Vertical storage tanks, also called steel silos, are the most space-efficient solution for bulk storage of liquids, powders and granular materials. Hunan Xianggong fabricates vertical tanks from 5 m³ to 10,000 m³ in carbon steel, stainless steel and lined configurations, covering fuel and water storage, cement and fly ash silos, grain storage and chemical liquid containment.

The shell is rolled from steel plate and welded by automatic submerged-arc welding; shell course thickness follows the API 650 one-foot method (or GB 50341), with corrosion allowance added according to the stored medium. Bottom types include flat bottom (foundation-mounted, for large capacity), cone bottom (skirt- or leg-supported, gravity discharge for powders) and dished bottom (sanitary or pressurized service).

Every tank is supplied complete with accessories — manhole, breathing valve, level indicator, ladder and top railing — and is shop-tested by UT/RT weld inspection and water-filling or air-soap leakage test before shipment. Large-capacity units can be supplied in knocked-down courses with on-site erection supervision.
